After a long, hard haul, headway's been made in the area of women's rights; gay and lesbian issues are no longer closeted; and legislators aren't totally blind when it comes to people of color. Now, as the joke goes, WASPY white men have become marginilized and are beginning to complain about their powerlessness against the awesome force of discrimination. But the truth is that men face very real discrimination when it comes to child custody battles. A nonprofit organization dedicated to ending gender discrimination in the courts, the men and women of Dads Against Discrimination meet on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Ben West Library to discuss and work on new legislation that will further their cause.--Rachel Tubman
