The Chase
Hashing is loosely modeled after the old English schoolboy game of hares and hounds, with participants looking for signs of flour or chalk as indication that they are "on on" the disguised trail of the hare. Hounds follow the trail for any of several reasons, not the least of which is that there may be alcohol stored along the way or at the end of the trail.
